Who's Your 80s Movie Icon Alter-Ego? Find out @ She's Crafty

I always did like that flick-- but I thought he should've advocated responsible rebellion instead of the mindless crap that ended up going down.

Okay, so here we are. Welcome to the Rocktober Blog. Should I call it Blogtober? Maybe. For now, it is the Rocktober Blog.

My name is Randy Reiss (pronouned Reese, like the Peanut Butter Cup). I'm a pop culture freak, just like the rest of my gen-x co-horts. Unlike others, I've actually managed to make a bit of a living at it, having written for outlets like SonicNet, Listen.com and many others. For all the details, check my Writing Archives by clicking on the link over there on the right. I live with my darling wife Margaret and good dog Shep in wonderful San Francisco, CA. Click on "Bio" over there on the left for a lot more info than you are really going to want...and it isn't even done yet!

Right now I'm working on a piece about my recent rediscovery of Bob Seger. I'll post a note here when I finish. I'm also waiting for Michael Goldberg to publish my review of Andre Williams' Bait and Switch-- which I thought was one of last year's best albums. Pick it up now if you like old R&B and/or grimy indie rock. Like Freedom Williams used to say-- it'll make yo swet 'till you bleed. Is that dope enough? Indeed.

Here's my fave story of the day-- Just What Was He Smoking? from the Washington Post. Nixon was indeed a fucking nut job-- and homophbobic and anti-semitic to beat the band! really incredible reading.

Does anyone out there aside from me still say "Audi 5000, G." when saying good-bye. If you dom hit me up with an email and let me know I'm not completely out of it.
